Chromogem Collection

“Chromogem”: from the Greek “chromo” meaning color combined with gems.  This collection features tiny, micro faceted gemstone beads woven on sterling silver plated wire.  These are the most demanding works:  threading the tiny beads onto the wire warps takes hours as does the actual weaving.  It is hard to predict how the final colors will emerge and it is common to have to unbraid the cord and reload the beads in a different sequence to get the color play just right.  Many pieces are finished with custom cast findings or magnetic logo clasps.
